Under former Minn. Stat. ? 72A.149 (1969), only auto liability insurance policies delivered or issued for delivery from and after January 1, 1971, were required to provide, at the option of the insured, uninsured motorist coverage limits equal to the bodily injury liability limits of the policy. The statute applies to renewals as well as to issuance of new policies.
